We’d had a fantastic lunch on our last trip to Cartmel which influenced our overnight stay to break our journey home and we were not disappointed!
We arrived to a warm welcome, and the most amazing and relaxing room. The bed was soooo comfortable along with a spacious bathroom.
We had another fantastic meal in the evening meal; very seasonal with what I feel would be daily changes depending on market availability. There was a fantastic selection of beers and wine along with a whole of host of spirits if that was your thing.
Definitely somewhere we will return.

Lovely room at the Royal Oak, perfect for a quick stay. Bed was comfy and shower was good, what more could you ask for! Pub was not open Sunday evening, so we didn't get to eat here, but heard that the food is very good. No breakfast in morning, but lots of options in Cartmel so wasn't an issue. Would recommend.
