First off, this IS a shared property...you can't tell from the pics , but the owners have a house about 50-100 feet away and stay there pretty much all summer. You wouldn't know it, though, because they pretty much keep to the backside of their property which has it's own access down to the dock and beach, (and they were actually very pleasant when we did have an opportunity to talk to them.) There is a small downhill walk from this home to the beach, but it's an easy set of stairs and the beach is a great feature that a lot of homes we looked at staying in didn't offer in Sand Point. The dock and rock wall make a very cool 'swimming area' that is safe from boats so we felt comfortable letting our kids venture in the water to explore without us. When we were on the beach, the owners weren't, so it wasn't as 'shared' as the name implies and we know we had first right of refusal to hang out down there with plenty of chairs to sit in, and tables for snacks and beverages. The home itself is very tidy and has everything you need for a lake vacation. Because there is only 1 bathroom, if you are the kind of person who relishes privacy on vacation, this may not be your thing, but we were all family so it wasn't an issue. For a rustic, lake getaway, this property hit the spot perfectly!

We stayed at this place and loved it!! There is a ton of space, good sized rooms and a gorgeous spot on the water. We had a blast. The hosts are very helpful and accommodating. Very impressed.

We had a lovely stay at this property. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains are spectacular. We had a blast playing in the water. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the area!

We capped garbage disposal because of horrendous smell. Did not use upstairs-spiral staircase so small it is hard to get up it let alone bring luggage/anything up. No seating area in house for a family to lounge together, watch TV. Didn't use two beds on porch because there were no blinds and also didn't use hottub (maybe a sign up would be a nice idea so you don't have to worry about someone joining)...owners were in other house.
