The Kings Head Inn, Home of The Acle Steak

The breakfast was very nice

The room I was staying in was a little noisy due to the fans, as it was located above the kitchen. The fans eventually stopped at around 10 pm, but unfortunately started again at around 6 am, which did disturb the otherwise peaceful stay.

Two of the three breakfasts were very good & one wasn`t quite so good (different chefs). Evening meal was very good & good value, service was a bit slow but we were in no hurry & waiter was very friendly. Room was a fair size & was quiet overnight & beds were comfortable.

Shower was good with very very hot water but took a while to get the hot water through. Shower screen leaked water out onto the floor, so we had baths instead so as not to make a problem with water getting into the floor.

All good nothing

Nothing

Location was great for what we needed. The staff were excellent at trying to help us so thank you the them.

We were surprised at how cold the room was and requested a further free standing heater. We were told that the heating was an issue and was being looked at. It would have been good to know this before arrival so we would have the choice to cancel and move to a different hotel. We found that the rooms and floor areas were were tired and dirty and could do with improvement. Bedding needs attention, one duvet seemed old and could do with changing. (not dirty, just tired). The breakfast room was also so cold. When we arrived, there were two doors open and the chef looked at us as though we were aliens. The food was adequate and as we would have expected. Why would you have two doors open bringing in the first cold day of the year when you're expecting guests!! Overall a poor experience for us.
