Explorer Rest & Recreation

Close to everything and clean and quiet

Location

Clean & Spacious: The unit was remarkably clean, spacious, well-maintained, and had a great ambiance. Seamless Communication: Check-in was effortless. They communicated clearly on the day of arrival, sending our room number and PIN code ahead of time. Thoughtful Amenities: We really appreciated having a fridge, microwave, coffee provided, and quality shower amenities. Convenience: Having direct parking right outside our unit made loading and unloading hassle-free. Plus, the location is ideal—close to the main road with plenty of nearby restaurants and stores.

The only small area for improvement would be in the bathroom. The water pressure was on the weaker side, the shower curtain could use a refresh, and adding a hand towel bar near the sink along with a few extra shelves or hooks for toiletry bags would make a big difference.

Location was good. Close to a lot of restaurants and stuff. Room was clean. Checkin and checkout was easy.

Bathroom was small and the blanket on the bed had huge lumps in it where it looked like the stuffing was balled up in it. The mini fridge wasn’t very cold so I wouldn’t have trusted putting food in it, I tried adjusting the temp but it didn’t help.

Bed was super comfy, room was clean, cute style, good water pressure. Shampoos, soap and lotion were nice.

If the bright street light through the very thin window shade doesn't keep you awake, the constant trains passing by and sounding their horns will. The bathroom sink fixture was also a poor choice and water goes everywhere but in the tiny sink and faucet was super loose. Also there is no reception desk. You're suppose to go straight to your room and have a code sent to your phone but mine never came. Called for help and the code they gave me didnt work so it took about an hour for someone to fix it for me before I could enter my room. Finally got in a little past midnight.
