The location was amazing and to stay in a house that seems to be WAY older than I was the perfect way to stay in Old Town. Getting up in the morning, going out to an empty beach for a dip in the Mediterranean, then off for pastries and cappuccinos, amazing, local restaurants for dinner were amazing as well.. The trains are close, but fairly quiet and never bothered us, the beach cleared out as the sun went down and made for interesting people watching during the day, while sitting on the veranda (with a privacy screen). Normally after being away from home for an extended vacation, we are ready to get home, but not with Benvenuto Beach House, we really did not want to leave. Our stay was end of September and we timed it well. Angelo was the perfect host and next time, we hope to share a meal.

I could say that not everything is new and perfect, but that's the charm that we were looking for, so we would say that there's nothing we didn't like.

Benvenuto Beach House set the bar unfairly high for the rest of trip in Italy! The location was absolutely perfect—steps from the beach and right in Monterosso’s old town, with shopping, cafés, and restaurants practically at our doorstep. A very convenient setup for people whose vacation plans revolved around eating, a little hiking, lots of beach time, and discussing where to eat next. We left the house right at sunrise to hike to Vernazza, and the location made getting started so easy. Apparently, we’re sunrise-hike people when the scenery is this good and the logistics require almost no thought! Inside was comfortable, the beds were great, and closing all the shutters while we were out helped keep the house cool. The primary bathroom was fully committed to the bathtub lifestyle, so we used the stand-up shower in the second bathroom. A tiny commute. We survived beautifully. The patio was the perfect place to wind down and enjoy our excellent decision-making skills. People walking by occasionally looked but no big deal. This was one of the most perfect stays we had in all of Italy. We would return in a heartbeat. We also had the chance to sit and chat with Angelo (wonderful man) at the end of our stay, which was such a lovely way to wrap up our visit. We really didn’t want to leave—and may have been keeping the conversation going in hopes that checkout would somehow cancel itself!

The only downside was people walking past our patio looking like they were mentally canceling their accommodations and plotting how to politely evict us. We understood. We wouldn’t have blamed them.

Lovely and clean, beautiful location, enough towels, lots of mirrors, good working AC, walkable, safe, nice decor and clean furniture and sheets. Lots of space. Gorgeous view. The property owner Angelo was very kind and respectful. We will recommend this property to any friends traveling to Italy
