Reviewer Comments: Our family of 15 with ages ranging from 5 to 60+, along with two large dogs, thoroughly enjoyed this sprawling property with ample bedrooms, bathrooms, and general living space. The property was clean with wrapped bath towels and multiple fridges to accommodate food and drinks for a large group. There are ample dishes and cooking pans as well. In addition to the pool, we spent many hours in the waves, both with boogie boards and rented sea kayaks. We enjoyed riding bicycles to Duck Donuts beside Corolla’s welcome center and also riding on the beach up to Carova where we actually had a close encounter with four horses! The maritime forest stroll across the street on the Currituck reserve is also worthwhile. We used the outside grill multiple times but found the temperature difficult to regulate. Some other appliances are showing age, as the washer is quite loud and the stove burners take a long time to reach optimal heat. There is a battery vacuum cleaner, but we could not find a dustpan when using the broom. It would be nice if some spices remained from previous guests. All in all, I highly recommend this lovely property for an enriching family and pet experience!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in corolla, north carolina. Paws and Claus was the perfect place to stay. The views of the sunset and sunrise were breathtaking. Even though it was october, we enjoyed swimming in the pool. It was nice and clean. We enjoyed the drive to see the Wild Horses. All the people in the area were so nice and friendly. If you are a family oriented person, this is the perfect place to come.

The location is the saving grace of this property. While the desciptions of rooms, baths, amenities are accurate, the condition of the areas of the home and the overall cleanliness was subpar. Windows, floors, kitchen, deck furniture, front porch, all dirty. Furniture old, several dining chairs with crumpled legs, stove top needs replacing. The only can opener in the kitchen was broken.Fireplace appeared to be inoperable, or no instructions were provided. While the main living area is amazing with its views, having no options for shade from the morning sun directly in your eyes, no matter you sit is very uncomfortable and can easily be remedied with some shade blinds. We understood from the instructions to bring bed linens and towels. No issue, as we have done that multiple times with other VRBO rentals. However, we did not realize that we were to also bring bath mats, basic hand wash for every bathroom, kitchen towels, and an all purpose spray cleaner to keep things properly cleaned on a daily basis.Perhaps a collaboration between the property management and property owner could address these issues and give this wonderful location the rental value it deserves.Thank you.Lea Zivic
