The apartment is well-equipped and very beautiful, as is the rest of the agriturismo—especially the garden and pool area. Also worth mentioning is the generous and delicious breakfast and, above all, the warm hospitality of Lella and her team. Not only did they give us great tips for restaurants and excursions, but they even provided a breakfast box for the days when we had to leave very early. The agriturismo is located on the outskirts of Giarre, and it’s only a few minutes by car to restaurants and shops (a car is necessary—you can’t get around on foot here). It’s also not far to beautiful beaches, Mount Etna, Taormina, or Catania (a 20–30-minute drive). We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return to Virdamuri on our next trip to Sicily!

We absolutely loved our stay at Virdamuri. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by nature, and a perfect base for exploring Etna. The room was spacious, beautifully designed and very comfortable. The pool was wonderful after a day of hiking, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. Above all, the hospitality was exceptional – the hosts were genuinely warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful, with great local recommendations. A relaxing and special place that we’d happily come back to. Highly recommended!

The lovely owner Lella and her staff who very extremely helpful and engaged in their customers. The beautiful pool which was open 24/7. The breakfast with local produce and a fantastic coffee. The room with a beautiful view of Etna. The prosecco and Sicilian snacks upon arrival. All the advice we received about the area which was absolutely invaluable.

There was nothing we did not like.
