The apartment is in a great location, with Basarrate Metro station approximately a 10-minute walk away. From Basarrate, it is only two stops to Zazpikaleak/Casco Viejo, making it very easy to get into Bilbao’s Old Town and connect to other parts of the city. The apartment has a decent-sized single bedroom as well as a good-sized main bedroom, with conveniently located power sockets next to the bed. There is a comfortable open-plan kitchen and living area. The kitchen had all the amenities I needed during my stay, while the living area was comfortable and had Netflix and other entertainment available on the TV. There is also a large Mercadona supermarket less than an 8-minute walk away, which was extremely convenient. Finally, the agents managing the property were excellent. They were very understanding, helpful and accommodating throughout my stay.

My only real negative was finding the apartment when I first arrived. The letting agency provided links by email and instructed me to enter a specific location into Google Maps. However, when I arrived at that location, I found myself outside what appeared to be a closed business premises on a corner, with the shutters down and boarded up. I asked several people passing by if they knew where the apartment was, but unfortunately nobody did. Eventually, a nearby shop owner explained that the entrance was actually around the back of the building. As a disabled solo traveller, not being able to locate the entrance caused me considerable anxiety and distress, particularly after following the directions I had been provided. I want to emphasise that the letting agency were extremely sympathetic, understanding and helpful when I contacted them. I have suggested that they consider providing a simple video showing the route from Basarrate Metro station directly to the apartment entrance, which could prevent future guests from experiencing the same problem. This issue would absolutely not stop me staying here again. The apartment itself was FANTASTIC, and I would happily return.

The property looks very nice, tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable to stay in. Location is very convenient, quite close to underground station and just a few stops from the city center.

The only thing I can criticise is that during our stay there was a heat wave and the temperature in the apartment was generally high, even during the night. There was no air con and the fans didn’t really feel enough.

Nos gustó realmente la cercanía que había al metro (al cogerlo te puedes mover por toda la ciudad, el metro está a 3 minutos andando del apartamento). Y también que hay todo tipo de establecimientos cercanos para tu estancia (supermercados, carnicerías, farmacia, etc). El apartamento es muy coqueto y moderno, pero falta mejorar en algunas cosas.

Los colchones eran demasiado blandos (se hundían) y encima hacía mucho ruido cada vez que te movías un pelín. Se escucha como tosía el vecino de al lado (las paredes son de papel). Y lo peor de todo es el aparcamiento (zona verde) porque no puedes dejarlo todo el día, ya que tienes que moverlo de zona, y el casero no te proporciona ayuda al respecto (te manda una página web y ya te apañas como puedas). No hay parkings públicos cercanos.

The apartment was amazing, clean, and it was a perfect stay. I’ll recommend for sure
