Hotel Amerinka

I love it

The property was clean and quiet. It is convenient to the Inca Rail and the Historical District.

The hotel in inexpensive and centrally located, two minutes from the Plaza de Armas and maybe five from the San Pedro market. It's neat, it'a clean, the staff is friendly and helpful (though it's obviously useful to speak a little Spanish), and it offers a decent basic breakfast.

This was a fantastic hotel for the price. Excellent location, just two blocks from the Plaza (and not an uphill walk!). I requested an airport pickup. They replied quickly and organised this. The taxi driver took my bags into the hotel where I received a very warm welcome. Check-in was very fast. The lady carried my suitcase to my room, which I much appreciated in the altitude. I was offered the choice between a room with a balcony that opened onto a street. The lady warned me that the music outside can be loud. She showed me another room that did not have a window, but she explained that I may hear other guests coming and going on early morning tours. I chose the room with the balcony because it received a lot of light. I sleep with earplugs in hotels so the street noise was not a problem. It actually added to the atmosphere, with local musicians playing. I enjoyed people-watching from the balcony. The room was warm, with a heater. The bed was extremely comfortable, with extra blankets provided. The shower was powerful and the water very hot. Just give it a few minutes to heat up. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. I did not eat the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. When I was leaving, the hotel booked a taxi for me and stored my bags. I cannot fault this hotel and I can't wait to return. I truly thought it was excellent for the price. I feel the cold, so, being warm is very important for me and that can be difficult to find in Cusco. Thank you Amerinka!
