Smile Hotel Premium Kanazawa Higashiguchiekimae

Nice hotel right next to Kanazawa Station. The location is great. Right next to the hotel are several malls with lots of shops and restaurants and all the main tourist attractions are within a 20-30 minute walking distance. The room was pretty spacious considering Japanese standards. The bed was super comfortable and not as hard as in some other Japanese accomodations. I stayed there for five nights and the room was cleaned mid-way once but towels could be exchanged every day. Coin laundry machines available. Check-in/out procedures were easily done over a machine but staff is also available to help. Overall a good hotel for this price range.

The amenities especially in the bathroom are fairly old which you can tell. Nevertheless everything is clean and still working well.

Excellent location close to the railway station, room was a good size for Japan. The only hotel we've stayed in in 3 weeks that had tea other than green tea (Ceylon, Darjeeling and Earl grey), also a coffee machine in foyer. Ice machines and laundry on various floors.

We didn't like the automated check in/out, by the time the receptionist has explained it they could have done it. Only stayed 2 nights so didn't get fresh bedding, that's standard however it's the only place where the cleaners didn't come in to empty bins and make the bed. Bit of mould in the grooves of the inside of the shower rail could do with some bleach
