The Location of Hotel Nalu is great! Directly at this brilliant Surferbeach.You can also hike in the Hills amidst Lush subtropical green. And 5 minutes Drive further in Kaiyo you have brilliant snorkeling with Lots of colorful fish.
We we're first doubtful about renting a car to drive the 3 hours from Kobe. But it turned out my most relaxed rental car experience ever. The Translation from JAP came in 24 hours and the Japanese drive so slowly and attentivly.

The staff there were exceptionally accommodating! They were so sweet with our kids. Our daughter turned 3 during our stay and the staff gave her some gifts to make her day special.

Great location, right in front of the beach. Good for checking the surf as soon as you wake up. Staff friendly. Nice and quiet. Surfboard storage was great - no need to bring your boards inside - just leave on the storage rack till the next surf.
There’s only one sink in the room - and it’s in the shower. So if you want to wash your hand, have to wash in the shower. Want to wash some dishes? Wash in the shower 😂

The one good aspect that is very uplifting was the location by the sea. It is a surfer's paradise and very lovely. I was on pilgrimage to Murato to honour Kobo Daishi Kukai's cave and had to rest at Nalo Hotel because other places were hard to book during the Henro Pilgrimage.
Terrible breakfast. The stairs made it difficult to bring luggage up into the rooms, as there was no elevator. Towels and toiletries were all downstairs, and guest had to bring them up to their rooms themselves.One staff member offered a little help. Being by the sea was uplifting.
