Staff made the stay so so good, Fiona was really helpful. Comfortable hotel

Location and accommodation used as an overnight stopover, before heading northbound though Glencoe and beyond the next day, so proved and ideal place to break the journey. Bonus was that a full breakfast is included too (but didn't realise this was provided in the hotel, as we initially assumed Glenbruar House was an independent business, not an extension of the hotel). Fab breakfast also took one big dilemma out of the morning equation, as we left more than fully fuelled up and ready to go. Not much to shout about in Crianlarich, but we did take a short walk down the road for a drink at the local pub which was fine, or you could do the same without walking, and enjoy the hotel bar. Heading back to Scotland shortly, so would definitely consider stopping here again.

The room was good, clean and comfortable and had a great night's sleep too. The only slight letdown was that the fixtures and fittings and general finish (more-so the bathroom) could do with a bit of an upgrade, but nothing major to complain about at all really. Seeing as it was considerably cheaper for the one night than the main hotel (and with the same hotel breakfast) it was good value for money, and especially in comparison to many other, more-expensive options in the area (without the breakfast being included).

Great location in Crianlarich, beds were cosy though very soft, great room size.

Black mould in the bathroom and significant levels of dust in the extractor fan did raise concerns about the level of cleanliness in the property. We also had to check in across the road at a different hotel, which would have been fine however we had to wait 20min for a hotel receptionist to serve us. When we arrived, the receptionist desk was empty and despite ringing the bell and eventually calling the hotel, there was no response. Eventually we went into the bar to find an employee and he told us he would be there in 2minutes - we waited closer to 10 before he arrived and completed our check in. We had a restaurant booking with that hotel for 8pm and when we said that we would be a few minutes late after dropping our belongings in our room and quickly freshening up after an 11hr walk (as it was now 8pm and we were still at the check in desk) he said we could have 2-3minutes. Other staff members were much more friendly.
