HOTEL SHYAM PALACE INDIA AGRA

Lovely stay in a fantastic location, just a short distance from the Taj Mahal. The staff were welcoming, and it was the perfect base for exploring Agra. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Taj Mahal!

Nothing, outstanding customer service

The staff is very nice and the location relative to the main attractions is very good - Taj Mahal is 5 minutes walk away which is extremely convenient for the early morning visit and Agra Fort is a short tuk tuk ride away. Also, the place consists of rooms around a garden patio which is a nice respite from the chaos outside. They also serve breakfast lunch and dinner there - everything was very good and freshly cooked to order. The room we got seemed to be recently renovated and was clean nothing to complain about.

The main issue I had is that the place is not really a hotel but more of a homestay - it seemed like there are plenty of (extended?) family members going about their business from early morning till late night, including kids playing etc. It wasn't that of a big deal for me but something to be aware of. Other thing that I have to note, though it's not really the host's fault is that the area around is at places extremely filthy. It didn't seem unsafe so it's ok to get in and out, but don't expect a nice stroll around, it's much nicer on the patio.

Good hotel with decent sized and clean rooms, and helpful staff.

One disappointment was the location , which was right next to the taj mahal (walking distance) - but it was in an unclean village lane where the streets were congested and dirty

Facilities was good, location is in walking distance from Taj Mahal, staff behavior was very good

Conjusted location, no proper parking space, hotel is costly in comparison with facility provided. Kitchen service was not available between 10:30 pm to 8 am.
