Avis vérifiés à 100 %8 / 10Excellent·oct. 2026
Initial reaction was mixed but then seeing the room and facilities reassured me. Everyone was chatty and welcoming. The breakfast was superb and set me up for another long day of travel.
It’s right on Hadrians Wall so great for walkers and it’s within driving distance of the uncovered Roman Fort and the site of the fallen Sycamore tree. Beautiful gastropub and microbrewery down the road
This was a little out of the way down some narrow lanes and a less confident driver may struggle. Definitely a stop over for people walking or specifically visiting attractions in the area.

Very friendly & helpful welcome. Had all the facilities we needed. Super quiet location.

This is a fairly remote farmhouse a mile or so from the road we were travelling on the Hadrians Wall Cycleway. The open moorland is very scenic. The owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.
Possibly signage for this property could be better on the cycle maps but this is not the responsibility of the owner.
