The Art Guesthouse

This is a delightful spot to stay for a couple of nights. The room was comfortable and had everything that you would need. It has a lush garden which keeps it feeling cooler. The staff were friendly and helpful. The area was very quiet but we felt safe. We did a great hike up and along the ridge to the cable car which was unfortunately closed as it was a Tuesday. We walked down the purple route. There are cafes in walking distance or you can use an Uber/Bolt. We had a delicious meal at Stef’s Place(book ahead).

The accommodation and gardens were very unusual with being decorated and surrounded in artwork done by the owner, who was very nice, friendly and chatty. It was ideally situated and in walking distance of Hartbeespoort main street and attractions.

The larger rooms/accommodation looked stunning but we were in the Studio Flat, which unfortunately didn't have a wardrobe/cupboards or drawers for our clothes, which I didn't realize when I booked it, so we were living out of our suitcase. The pool water was discolored and didn't appear to be maintained. As beautiful and unusual as the accommodation and gardens looked from a distance, it could do with a bit of a face lift in some areas.

We had a fantastic stay at Art Guest House. The accommodation itself was great, comfortable, clean, and full of character. What really stood out was the art. The pieces in the room were so cool and unique, and you can see how much thought has gone into every detail. All the small touches throughout the space really add to the overall experience and make it feel special. The pool area is beautiful and well-kept, such a lovely spot to relax and unwind. It adds to the calm, creative atmosphere of the guest house. Most of all, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Their warmth and attentiveness truly made the stay even more enjoyable.

The location was exceptional and it was very secure The was was very beautiful

The electricity was unstable and we had issues with hot water and it was not clean . The aircon was not working surely needs service and the electric blanket was for single bed on double bed
