Hampton Inn by Hilton Austin Downtown East Side

We had a wonderful stay, it was exactly what we needed for this trip. We mainly got around by walking, lime bikes and scooters with an occasional Uber ride. Really walkable area. Friendly and helpful staff made us feel comfortable and welcome the whole time

We both were dissatisfied with the pillows, they were far too soft. It would be great if they could have an option of one firmer and one soft.

I honestly don't have much to say as I had a very enjoyable 24h. However, I left my luggage in storage the last day so I could enjoy the neighborhood a little before flying out. When I came back, it was gone because left unattended by the staff (for a very short period of time) and swapped by an absent-minded guest who thought it was his friend's luggage. In the end, all was well thanks to the very mindful and dedicated team but I must admit that even if I perfectly understand human imperfection, I spent a very worrying hour wondering how I would fly back without my belongings and my computer (sole mean of earning a living). All this to say, thank you to the staff for fixing the mistake so promptly and carefully, however, the storage system probably needs to be updated.
