It’s a beautiful apt - we love the graphic decorating, the character of the building, the plants & the unique artistic touches. The view of the harbor is amazing & the picture window perfectly clean. 2 parking spots! We appreciate that the phone was answered & we received help. Here are some thoughts about how it could be even better. Take what you need & leave the rest. 1. It is in a neighborhood with extremely steep hills & I would have loved to get the parking instructions in advance. 2. Written communication is cumbersome. First I receive a text which says to check email, then in the email I hit a button to go to yet another web interface. Receiving everything in the vrbo app messaging would be more effective. With 3rd party mgmt perhaps not possible. 3. I received an incorrect door code. 4. The washer spin cycle is not effective. I tried multiple rinse/spin cycles, and the clothes were sopping wet; I wrung them out in the tub. 5. The dryer stops after 5 min. I kept restarting and restarting it, tried different setting etc. I took my clothes home damp. 6. If you are not the property mgr for unit 9A below us, pls disregard. They were partying until 5am & we got little sleep. 7. I asked for the wifi password on Fri & finally rec’d it sun a.m. 8. Sun a.m. the garage door did not open. These things happen. The problem was the lack of proactive communication. I called 3 times; then was told to call Amity myself, who told me it was fixed. That was at lunchtime.

We loved staying here! The sunrise with my coffee on the patio in the mornings was the BEST!!!!!

The Fika Condo was cozy and comfortable to stay in. The master bed was very comfortable compared to a hotel. Decor was very pleasant and colors made it very easy to relax. I expected more of a view of the lake but it was much better than a condo without a balcony. Host was responsive. Everything f we needed was provided in the condo. We had an excellent stay and will be back!

I wish they had an earlier check in time. Since we were staying for a couple of days we had groceries that had to be kept cold and a cooler only stays cold for so long. And we were traveling from Minneapolis, so we had to time our arrival to check in. You could ask for an earlier check in but was not guaranteed. The early check out was also not ideal but you could ask for a later check out for a fee, but it was not guaranteed. I thought I had already paid enough for the stay, so we planned on being out by 10:00 am. I would say this location is good for being close to DT attractions and dining options. However, the streets around the condo carry a lot of traffic. There is a hospital down the street, so we heard multiple sirens going by. The balcony was nice but you cannot see the view sitting in the chairs provided as they are too low to the ground and you cannot see through the railing. Unfortunately upon arrival we found the bathtub was not clean, nor were the floors. We did notify someone but they basically just apologized and did not seem overly concerned and so I said we were going to clean up the mess ourselves. We had a 16 month old child with who had some toys that usually end up on the floor at some point. My expectation was for floors and bathtub to be clean, which they were not. I also provided a picture of what was swept up in my room as proof. Once again just an apology. Kitchen was well equipped. We used the stove, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher.
