Avec ses nombreuses activités à proximité (motoneige, ski de fond et bien plus encore), cette cabane qui accepte les animaux de compagnie est la solution idéale pour explorer les environs en toute simplicité. Sautez dans votre voiture et parcourez le trajet de 23 minutes jusqu'à Point d'accès au lac Kawawaymog ou de 13 minutes jusqu'à Brasserie Highlander Brew Co. (et quand vous n'êtes pas sur les routes, profitez du parking mis à disposition par l'hébergement).

Cette cabane de 74 m² vous invite à la détente avec une terrasse privée, du mobilier d'extérieur et un brasero où se retrouver autour d'un verre. De retour à l'intérieur, profitez des joies de l'intérieur (accès à Internet, par exemple).

If staying in winter be prepared for it potentially not working. Also bring water with you. We are planning next year’s trip already. I have enjoyed my trips to this cabin.

We found the parking area which is up a rocky road with little trouble. After a 20 minute buggy, uneven and muddy hike in with our gear we arrived at the cabin. The area around is not cleared but there is a fair sized porch to sit out on and a couple of camp chairs. There were lots of forest birds around. The cabin is very large with lots of bunks and a couple of mattresses (BYO bedding). Power was sufficient to run the cooler/ lights/phone charger. WIFI was spotty, but we didn't have Rogers. Good BBQ and all the basics for food prep provided. Wood stove heats up the space quickly. It's about 100 yards down to the lake through the forest. Saw lots of fish from shore. So quiet and remote. There is a canoe and a small dock but we didn't venture out. Not sure I'd want to be here if it rained a lot. This is a very basic cabin as described: no running water and composting toilet but it's clean inside and so quiet, with only the birds and the sound of the trees in the wind. A nice getaway spot.

This property is as advertised. It is ideal for someone who has the willingness to trek in the 3km from the nearest road during the winter. I am very familiar with this cabin and the trail system leading to it so I was prepared. The cabin is stocked with the base camping essentials. If you are heading to this cabin in the winter be sure to pack in some water with you to allow time (give yourself 24 hours) for the water jugs left in the cabin to thaw. Also once the cabin has warmed up it does not take much to keep the cabin warm, if you keep stoking the wood stove you will wish you had shorts and a t-shirt with you! I was impressed with the upgrades to the cabin, the solar system worked great. We had eight people in our group, two of which were under 12 years old and we all fit inside comfortably. We are already planning on making this a yearly tradition.
