The apartment was located on the top floor. There was no lift, but that's understandable given that the building is one of the charming historic houses in the centre of town.
As it was an attic apartment, the windows opened onto views of the sky and the castle, which was a lovely feature and added to the character of the stay.
The location could not have been better—right in the heart of town, with everything within easy walking distance.
One of the main issues was that there was no one available at reception until 3:00 pm. If you arrive earlier, don't expect to find any staff apart from the people working in the Italian restaurant, who unfortunately were unable to provide any assistance or information.
What made the experience even more disappointing was the attitude of one member of staff, a tall, thin lady who was particularly rude. I explained that my booking confirmation stated I would be arriving at 2:00 pm, to which she simply replied, "So what?"—essentially implying that it didn't matter and that no one would be available until 3:00 pm regardless. (then I am wondering why they even ask about the estimated time of arrival...)
I then asked whether it would at least be possible to leave my luggage while waiting. She told me no. When I commented that most hotels are usually able to store luggage for guests before check-in, she responded, "Well, there's always a first time."
The lack of assistance was frustrating enough, but the dismissive and unprofessional attitude made the situation far worse. A little courtesy and willingness to help would have made a significant difference to the overall experience.
If they don't work in the hotel and are only waitressing the restaurant they could best keep the mouth shout...
Another thing, don't spect a big kitchen in the room, cos it can't be called apartment, is just one to survive if you need to cook something as emergency inside a wardrove.
The mattress was horrible, totally bended.

location
No plastic bags in trash bins. Only 1 tissue paper for 3 days stay. Shower makes the water closet area wet, no curtains in between. No bathroom mat, it stayed wet the entire stay.
