Battery House

Great location. Close to city centre but quiet. Lovely room and appreciated the free foyer beverages

Clean and well presented

It was self service, which I was a little disappointed about. Nice to see a human!

Beautiful rooms, great location There was a bottle of wine in my room + gin in the lobby for us to drink…😁

Room 4 had a lot of mechanical noises, up through the light well, I assume. It wasn’t the lift, I never worked it out. Noisy guests on top floor and sound seemed to channel into mine!

The staff was very sweet and welcoming, and the bed was comfortable.

Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the strong smell of marijuana throughout the property. The lobby, stairways, and elevators all smelled heavily of weed for most of our stay. The odor lingered for three days and gave me a headache and made me feel sick. I emailed the staff during our stay, and they responded that they would address the issue. While I appreciated their response, the smell didn’t improve until the day we checked out. I hope the hotel can better enforce its no-smoking policy and address this issue more quickly, as it significantly impacted our experience.
