Mean host with dirty apartment

I absolutely loved the location cos it was central and very convenient to move around. The building was also secure and really cool.

The host wasn't helpful with terrible communication skills despite telling him the trip was with my blind husband and my very first international trip. The apartment was extremely dirty with lots of huge flies and smelled of cigarettes and damp/smelly rug. Insufficient cooking and eating utensils. Also, the internet was cut off on our third day and he refused to respond to any of my messages to fix it. The mattress was comfortable but the bed frame made a creaking sound when I sat on the side close to the window or turning in bed.

Unprofessional experience

I never had the opportunity to see the property, even though I booked it the same morning it was listed as available on the website. The landlord did not reply to my reservation at all. When I arrived at the location, no one responded to my messages or calls. I had no choice but to contact customer service to request a refund. Unfortunately, the landlord continued to ignore all communication, including attempts from customer service. This made the refund process particularly difficult, as the cancellation had to be confirmed within a strict 40-minute window from my initial contact. Overall, it was a frustrating and highly unprofessional experience.

"I believe that if the property is not available for any reason, it should have been taken off the website, to avoid customers wasting money and time, especially since refunds are only processed 7–12 days after cancellation."

Very dirty and ill equipped. Disappointed

The location

the place hadn’t been cleaned (not hoovered, it was dusty, toilet was disgusting, microwave dish covered in food, I’ll equipped, sofa uncomfortable and covered in animal hair and stains, no banking tray, 1 sharp knife which was blunt, found a screw and tobacco filters in seal of washing machine, spilt washing powder on floor, loads of dust, large cracks in bedroom wall, carpets freyed with nails sticking up which I bought my foot on, lights that flickered, a gross door in house, neighbours smoking weed which filtered down hall into apartment, burn marks on carpet and stains, both blinds broken. The intercom was broken and the management of property were very unhelpful and ignored my request to have it fixed. Bottom line: don’t book this place, you will not enjoy it!!!

ABSOLUTE SCAM

Nothing

ABSOLUTE SCAM. A few hours before we were due to arrive, had not received instructions for gaining access to the property, so I contacted the owner. Received a message saying accommodation was not available. Tried to ring them to clarify, no answer. Eventually received another message saying contact Booking.com . Why take the booking in the first place when they hadn’t even taken any money??
