Very nice apartment, even bigger than on the pictures. Big kitchen well equiped (only missing a dishwasher), 2 bathrooms with 2 toilets, very practical. The bed are confortable. The very big terraces - surrounding all the rooms - offer a wide view on the see, you can even see the Ilhas Desertas when horizon is clear ^^ The parking in the building with direct access by lift is a very important and nice feature. Parking in the streets during high season is almost impossible, and streets are narrow and very steep. The swimming pool was a very nice add-on to enjoy after our days hiking. Our daughter was super happy to jump into it ^^ Location is good and you can reach a supermarkt (for small groceries) by feet in 7 min. Big supermarket are at 15 min drive. Funchal is only 15 min drive as well. We landed at 1 am and we were warmly welcomed by our host with 2 baskets full of biscuits and Poncha :) Plus some fresh water in the fridge. Very nice and quiet place, great basecamp to explore the island. Perfect for families.

The view from the terraces on what looks like an entrepreneur junkyard. You can still avoid looking at it, it wasn't noisy neither. We really missed a dishwasher, certainly when kitchen is really big and well equiped. Parking place is a bit tight (as any parking place on the island anyway). Honestly, nothing really annoying, except maybe the missing dishwasher and the lack of sunbeds around the swimming pool.

We loved the apartament very much. Great location near shops and restaurants. Nearest bus stop to Funchal was 200 meters away. Around 20-30 min walk to Christ monument. Each room was very spacious. Kitchen was well equipped including washing machine. The highlight of the property was big, long balcony facing south and west with stunning views of Atlantic. You can fall asleep and wake up watching ocean from your bed. Jose is very good host. My son loved the swimming pool located on the ground floor which also offers ocean views. Highly recommended.
