We stayed here for one night during Stampede weekend. The location was perfect—close enough to walk to Cowboys Music Festival, which was exactly why I chose this hotel.
To our surprise, we were upgraded to a top-floor suite with a rooftop balcony overlooking downtown Calgary. It was a wonderful bonus and made our stay feel extra special.
The room itself was very clean, and the bathroom was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and what appeared to be a steam shower. I’m still not entirely sure how the steam shower worked, but it was a nice feature!
There were a couple of minor maintenance issues. We noticed some repaired water damage on the ceiling, and the underground parkade was very damp, with a garbage can collecting water from what looked like a leak. The underground parking is also quite tight, so I’d recommend it for smaller vehicles. There is above-ground parking available as well.
The hotel offers breakfast, although we didn’t have a chance to try it. We did enjoy the coffee, though!
Overall, we had a great stay. The staff made a wonderful first impression, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better for enjoying Stampede festivities. We’d happily stay here again.
