Hôtel Observatoire Luxembourg

Super cute hotel, 1 minute from the train station. Rooms are small but usual to Europe. Staff is super nice and helpful

Could not ask for a better location. Beautiful building. Don’t expect large rooms like you are staying in a big American hotel. Beautiful rooms with exactly what you need. Right next to the metro and Luxembourg gardens. AC was great. Staff were helpful and stored our bags for few hours after checkout and ordered us a taxi to our train station.

What a great little hotel! They have everything you could need, and staff are friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean, and the air conditioning was very cool during the 2026 heatwave. The rooms are small but we did not spend much time in the room anyway. The room had a small mini fridge which was great for filling with some drinks from the Franprix that is a couple steps from the hotel. The only negatives we had were that the bathroom door did not close all the way and the bathroom didn’t have a fan, but all of the pros greatly outweighed the cons. The hotel is also very close to many convenient metro and train stops (Luxembourg, Notre Dame des Champs) and across from the gardens. It is also within walking distance of many great areas and monuments like the Panthéon, Catacombes, Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, Saint-Germain-des-près, and the Latin quarter. I first stayed at this hotel in 2011, and returned in 2026, and will most certainly stay here again if I return to Paris. We stored our suitcases at the hotel after check out and returned later in the day to pick them up. The whole process was a breeze. If you are hesitant about choosing hotels, I urge you to choose this one! You won’t regret it!

There is nothing to fault with this hotel. It’s beautiful, very modern and clean. The amenities are excellent and some lovely touches in the room. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It is so close to the Luxembourg metro, the Gardens, Pantheon and the Latin Quarter. The location is perfect and in a quiet area. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back.
