8 / 10Excellent·juill. 2026
Here’s a polished version of your review that keeps your main points:
The recently renovated rooms were nice, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel itself is older and had a noticeable smell throughout. The location was excellent—we were able to easily hop on and off the streetcar, which made getting around very convenient. The biggest disappointment was the continental breakfast. It was much more limited than expected, with only bread, cereal, and muffins available. There were no pancakes or waffles, which was very disappointing. Overall, the location and updated rooms were positives, but the breakfast and overall condition of the hotel left room for improvement.

The staff was very friendly, the rooms have been nicely renovated and it is in a very good location between downtown and Arrowhead.

It was the only reasonably priced room I found in KC for the weekend. Property was very nice and the staff were so nice and friendly. The streetcar on that street is very convenient to get to several things. The breakfast was a little lackluster and no ice bucket and cups in the room but they seem to have just updated so maybe that hasn’t been taken care of yet. I would gladly return for another visit.

Great hotel. Would have liked more choices for building a breakfast yogurt bowl.
