8 / 10Excellent·juill. 2026
We stayed one night, and the room was spacious enough for my son and me. The hotel room's AC wasn't working, and I called the front desk. The very nice man came into the room to see if he could fix the problem, but he couldn't. He offered a new room or to bring a fan to us, and we opted for the latter, as I didn't want to pack up our luggage again. The breakfast room and service were beautiful, and the hotel location was walkable to the old centre.

Having stayed in many German hotels. my wife and I thought the Kronenburg came high on the list. The stylish breakfast was perfect in terms of choice, range and freshness; the general maintenance was of high quality, and while the room we had was 'quirky' in some aspect of style, it was spacious and immaculately clean. Above all, the hotel was distinguished by its caring, friendly and helpful staff who generally took note of all comings and goings.
Minor recommendation? A kettle/coffee maker in the room would have been ideal.
