Our stay at Montebelo Mosteiro de Alcobaça Historic Hotel was exceptional. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, combining history with comfort and elegance. The rooms were spacious, the breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed two wonderful dinners at the restaurant. The staff was welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

This is an amazing destination hotel. We used it as our base to explore central Portugal and couldn’t have been more impressed. Beautiful facility, modern rooms with ample space and free parking. A charming town lies just outside the door. We were extremely impressed with the staff. This is a wonderful, historic, beautiful place to stay.
8 / 10Excellent·juill. 2026
Property is very quiet, decoration is austere reflecting a modern monastic interpretation.
Bedroom and Bathroom are spacious and comfortable.
A swim cap must be used / purchased to access the pool.
Breakfast room and meal is adequate and pleasing.
Bar is austere to the point of seeming unfinished, a missed opportunity.
