Mercure Namur Hotel

A fantastic room overlooking the river, with views extending over 270 degrees as we were on the corner of the hotel on the 3rd floor. There was a minor problem checking in as the receptionist gave us a room with a street/trees view, but this was resolved by the senior receptionist who was extremely helpful. Breakfast was not worth the money (24 euros each) but the dinners were excellent. The meals were superb quality and the extras, including bread and gazpacho were appreciated. However, on the third night we weren't given these items but every other table seemed to get them. Overall, an excellent hotel with minor errors from some of the less experienced staff.

Our room was nice, no complaints, and we had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. The location of the hotel is right below famous Citadel. The only complaint I have is the parking. There is a parking lot and garage but it is on the other side of the casino which makes checking in and out a bit challenging. There is free parking at the hotel but because it is connected to the casino, all of the casino customers take it up. When we arrived at about 5pm, all the free spaces near the hotel were full and there were very few in the paid lot (25 Euros per night), but when we left in the morning, there was plenty of free parking. I think the free spaces near the hotel should be reserved for hotel guests. There is no handicapped parking at all, and I use a walker for long walks. Other than the parking, the hotel is very nice and I would recommend it.

We had a car so a little difficult to find but once found parking was easy and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant was very good. Would recommend this hotel
