This hotel was fabulous. The staff very helpful and nice. The breakfast was excellent. The location was very walkable to many sites but out of the craziness of the tourist areas.

Hotel Fauchon Kyoto was beyond excellent and truly exceeded our expectations. The service was exemplary from start to finish. Everyone on the staff was wonderful — reception, the maître d’ at Breakfast, housekeeping, and restaurant staff all made us feel very welcome.
The room was spacious, very comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The amenities were amazing. Breakfast and dinner were both fantastic, and the food was excellent throughout our stay.
The hotel is also very conveniently located for exploring Kyoto.
Simply put, this hotel goes beyond five stars. The best hotel experience we have had in our travels in Japan.

The hotel is stunning and very well located. We felt that the staff was not well versed in English and we had difficulty in understanding their English. We also felt that the concierge service was not very informative.
We stayed five nights and the complimentary pantry was only restocked once. We stayed in other 5 star restaurants in Tokyo and Osaka and both offered complimentary drinks in the evening.
