Extended Stay America San Diego - Sorrento Mesa

Before coming to the Sorrento Valley Extended Stay, I read both positive and negative reviews. But, I must say that the stay was so much better than those negative reviews. The location is just a bit off the I-5 and 805, and maybe 15 minutes to the I-15. Great location for getting around. Although there is coffee in the lobby in the morning, we like to bring our own maker. Several big grocery stores not far away that allowed us to plan for most meals in our room with the refrigerator and stove top burners. We might suggest a regular check on the burners, but a housing staff came to help us quickly to get both burners working. The room set up is comfortable. We had our dog and could walk him in the quiet neighborhood area easily. People seemed to respect others by using the poop bags and throwing away. We stayed on the back side of the hotel and found it very quiet. As we had reserved two rooms with persons arriving at different times, the desk staff were very attentive and made every effort to get us as close to each other as possible. There are kitchen supplies, but sometimes they inventory might be a bit lower if sold out. The kitchen is great, but it might not hurt to bring a few supplies from home if you can. Overall, I would recommend this Extended Stay for helpful staff, overall comfort, and great location, with ability to cook your own meals.

It was a good stay

Great place with super easy and convenient parking! Everything was very nice and the room had pretty much anything you could need, even a nice table to eat at which was suprising and welcome. The beds were uncomfortable due to the stiffness of the mattress but not bad enough that I couldn't sleep lol I would definitely stay again! Great place :)

Met all our needs and expectations. We were very warmly welcomed by the host (didn't get his name, sadly) and Alexis at the front desk is wonderful, always a smile and attentive to any questions we had. Coffee is great! Clean room, well lit parking and blackout curtains are nice. They are updating their rooms so we expect it to be even nicer when we return. The location was perfect for our needs and centrally located between the places we were there for. Price was reasonable. We were there for a month and happy, would return again.
