Garrigae Abbaye de Sainte Croix

.

This place has an unbeatable view and comfortable rooms with private outdoor space. We were unlucky with the pool being under maintenance in the early part of the season, which was disappointing, but happens. Dinner was excellent and the seasonal cocktail was delicious; eating on property is not for budget travelers.

Beautiful place with very nice staff. The view is really amazing.

What a wonderful experience. It truly is an old renovated Abby complete with a chapel. The views are stunning. In the distance we could see a large body of water which I think is the Etang de Barre. We loved hanging out the pool, extremely relaxing. And there was a least 1 huge indoor fireplace that looks like it is really used in the winter. The entire place was relaxing. We only stayed 2 nights and wished we had stayed longer. Yes, it could use a little updating, but that is part of the charm. Very romantic for us. I would highly recommend for couples or for groups of friends that really just want to relax and enjoy all of the facilities. Would be an incredible destination wedding spot. You can sit around - inside or out - and talk for hours. They also make some great cocktails...and have an award winning restaurant. Great staff. They even gave us a bucket of ice to enjoy wine we had bought elsewhere. Also, great central location for day trips through out Provence.
