Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gatlinburg

It was our second time to stay there. We just wanted a room to sleep and shower in. We stay out during the day and night until time to bed down. The man behind the counter was borderline rude. At the least he was not courteous nor welcoming. I really place a high value on the greeting and attitude of the staff at the check-in counter and process. They also have a separate document when you check in that they want you to sign in multiple places. It makes you feel like you're buying a house. Uncomfortable at the very least The room was comfortable but they didn't fully vacuum the room before or during our stay. There was debris in the sides and corners of the room from the time we arrived until we left. The only service they provided during our stay was new towels each day. Nothing more. With that said the hotel was cheap to stay in for Gatlinburg during a holiday weekend. That was what we wanted/needed for this visit so I count it up as, 'you get what you pay for.'

Room was clean and had a fresh smell not musky like alot of places I have stayed. Having an elevator was great. Like the parking under the building keeping car shaded. Maybe the small room but the A/C will freeze you.

Overall, my stay was average. The hotel is in a quiet location and conveniently close to everything, which was a big plus. However, the bed sheets had some noticeable stains, which was disappointing and made the room feel less clean. The air conditioning was also set to turn on and off throughout the night, causing the room to become warm and uncomfortable while sleeping. The front desk staff were not very friendly and came across as having an unfriendly attitude, which affected the overall experience. On the other hand, the housekeeping staff were kind, helpful, and provided excellent service. Their friendliness was the highlight of my stay.
