Very quiet room and extremely comfortable bed. Air conditioning was difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature. Mostly the room was much too cold. I frequently turned the AC all the way off to allow the room to warm up a little.
Hotels are notorious for not having grab bars in the shower!! The only one in my shower was at the end of the tub where the water controls are located and was virtually useless for getting in and out of the shower, especially since I am a small person and a senior citizen. Tub showers are fairly dangerous for seniors and, while we may not be ready for a handicap room, it would certainly be helpful to have a grab bar along the wall opposite the shower curtain. The soap and conditioner can also make the floor of the tub quite slippery. I found myself holding onto the soap dish with one hand during my showers. Fortunately it seemed to be mounted very solidly!!
I like this hotel very much and have been staying there for many years—long before it became a Holiday Inn Express. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. I will certainly be back there again.
