8 / 10Excellent·juill. 2026
A very quirky, interesting, historical Hotel a short stroll from all the amenities that Swanage have to offer.
Friendly helpful staff from start to finish, all very knowledgeable regarding the history of the hotel.
It’s obviously like the forth bridge regarding the upkeep and maintenance, but that’s expected with an old building,it adds to its charm.
All areas were clean and tidy. We stayed in The Louisa Lodge accommodation, slightly away from the main house, we had a Sea view across the rooftops, the room and en-suite had everything you needed and clean.
Breakfast was more than adequate not everyone wants cooked breakfast every day, it was pretty much what I would normally have for breakfast at home, if you feel the need for a full English plenty of places a very short stroll away.
Great parking facilities on site.
Spoke to several other guests who were returning visitors.
As a couple who doesn’t mind not having all singing all dancing modern facilities I'm sure we will be returning.
