TheHotel Engelberg das Trail Hotel at Dorfstrasse 14 in Engelberg, Switzerland, is an exceptional place to stay. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed by a team that combines genuine warmth with a high level of professionalism. Every detail reflects care, and the atmosphere makes it easy to relax and enjoy your time in the mountains. A special thank you to Virginia, Laura, and Alex, who make every interaction effortless, enjoyable and informative. The wonderful owners, together with their lovely family dog, create a personal and inviting environment that truly stands out and almost makes you feel that you are part of this family.
The restaurant is a highlight in its own right. The ladies running the service bring such a friendly and attentive energy, and the kitchen delivers outstanding quality. The cook prepares an unforgettable Buddha bowl, fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. It is a dish worth coming back for. This hotel delivers a complete experience defined by kindness, quality, and attention to detail. A truly memorable stay. We are planning to visit again. Thank you to the team at the Hotel Engelberg das Trail Hotel!

The staff were very kind and helpful-- they even let us store our bags in the office while we explored the area on Sunday after we checked out. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the location was very convenient.
