B&B Hotel Aachen-City

The hotel location is prime, near central Aachen city hall and the cathedral. It is a “no-friills” hotel, but that was ok and as expected. The rooms are neat and clean and the beds are comfortable. Excellent AC in rooms. The bathroom was very basic with little shelf space, but it was clean and acceptable. Did not try the breakfast buffet since I did not pay for in advance and the staff at the desk said they required advance purchase “so they can make enough bread”. I did see another staff member allow another family to pay same day on the following day. The vending machines in the lobby were well stocked w sodas, beer and snacks, but that is the only food available on site, aside from brunch. We would stay here again for location, value, cleanliness, but not if looking for a memorable European hotel experience.

This hotel was clean and did the trick for a one night stay but unfortunately I wouldn't stay there again because of the location. It's located on an uphill walk, it's not accessible transit-wise, and the Uber/bolt isn't cheap in the area. It's not a long walk to find restaurants but it's an uphill trek and the food you'll find near the hotel is honestly pretty terrible and overpriced. Thankfully there was a small market beside it for drinks and snacks.

Lovely spacious, clean & comfortable room. Reception staff very nice. But the room was very austere. No kettle, no bar fridge. Parking process was very interesting!!! Initially had to drive up pedestrian street to hotel entry. Should have had better arrival instructions.

Second time I’ve stayed at this B&B. For me, it’s all about location. Love that I can drop my things in the evening at my room and then go enjoy and get dinner right down the block in the city center. Nothing fancy about the rooms but you can’t beat the location
