8 / 10Excellent·juill. 2026
We stayed at the Browns Avenue this past week and loved our stay… For the most part. The room itself was extremely clean, the staff were very friendly, and the location was perfect! The only drawback was that our air conditioner did not work. We booked this hotel specifically because it had an AC, and with the heat wave hitting Portugal, it made any time in the room quite uncomfortable (temperature wise). We did try to ask the front desk to come and fix it, but they said everything looked okay on their end. To make matters worse, we walked into our room one afternoon and someone had came in, opened the door to the outdoors, and opened the blinds, which made the room even hotter. Also a wasp flew into the room, and ended up stinging me. Other than the temperature, we really did enjoy our stay, would stay here again.

Gorgeous hotel with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We also had a stellar dinner at the restaurant. It’s in a great area to walk around. Our only regret was that the pool area was packed, so we didn’t get to enjoy it.
It was the perfect hotel to end our amazing trip in Portugal!
