The hotel is incredible! We were greeted at the front desk by friendly staff who were very helpful in storing our luggage until our check in time and pointing the way to the bus station so we could explore Hadrian’s Wall that morning.
Upon our return we were greeted by more friendly staff and directed to our room. When we opened the door our reaction was “Wow! What a great place!” The rooms were spacious and decorated beautifully. Tea, crumpets, local jam, and other accompaniments were laid out for us. We felt so welcome! We would book this hotel again in a heartbeat. It was hard to tear ourselves away at checkout!! You will love it!

This is Carlisle’s premier hotel and it is always a joy to stay here. Everything has been thoughtfully considered, from the spacious and comfortable rooms to the excellent facilities.
What really sets the hotel apart, however, is the staff. They are consistently warm, professional, and helpful, making every stay feel welcoming and effortless.
I genuinely can’t fault it and always look forward to returning.

Pleasant staff. Nice to have a kitchen. Breakfast was delicious, and inexpensive. Location was convenient to the train station.

Second time staying here. Soon to be third! That should tell you everything. Service great, apartment well equipped and modern. Staying again next week.
