Great place. Exceeded expectations. Room was indeed luxury for an old building. Only thing was lack of AC, but portable fans were already provided in the room. Highly recommended.

Staff were wonderful - very helpful and accommodating - our check in time kept changing due to aircraft issues and they were ready for us when we came in late.

Nira Caledonia is a very nice boutique hotel in a great part of Edinburgh. There are lots of restaurants and shopping within a 5-10 minute walk. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. My only concerns were the location of the room. We ended up in a basement-level room and there was a lot of noise from either staff or contractors outside our window. I would recommend asking for a room away from the street. Also, being an old building, you can expect to hear noise from the rooms above you, unless it was just our room.
