The staff and owner were helpful with several recommendations about where to eat and go, especially on a Sunday.

Tasteful, central but quiet, genuine warm hospitality, the perfect boutique hotel. Thank you Geronimo and Natalia for all your kindness! If I could give 10 stars I would and it would be deserved.
This is the place to stay in the old city!
Also go to the wonderful cafe Atelier Castellano across the street!

Fauna is THE place to stay in Old Town Montevideo. Jeronimo and staff are first class, and they truly go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one. The hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. It is central to everything that is Old Town. We have traveled around the world and The Fauna is one of the best we have enjoyed.

This was our favorite hotel to date. The hotel is gorgeous, staff were so kind and helpful, and a perfect stay in the old city. Quick walk to the ferry & we felt safe at night walking around. Highly recommend and we will stay here again our next trip back!
