What is there not to like when staying in such an iconic building, with excellent facilities, nice staff and an extraordinary view!
Beware: the cooked breakfast is heavy stuff and perhaps for 2 to share 😀

Staff were friendly and helpful, location handy and beautiful, with red squirrels nearby and nesting house martins. My only suggestion would be that - as we should be reducing meat and dairy consumption for environmental reasons - vegetarian breakfast should be the norm.

Room are great and there are radiators which you can control. The bedding is super thick and is lovely for winter nights. Food is amazing and restaurant grade, staff is always available to help.
