Inn has modern bathrooms, good A.C., good WiFi, and breakfast was included and made fresh. The staff Vi & Nga were very helpful with making sure I got breakfast in time, since I needed to get going early and didn’t have much time. The inn was also very helpful in holding my luggage for a few hours while I did some stuff in the morning. If you’re a solo traveler looking to stay close to the citadel, it’s a very good option.
Rooms: The rooms had some stains on the sheets
- still clean, but a bit off putting. They also didn't have the top sheet typical of western bedding - it was just a bottom sheet and the blanket.
Nearby activities: Citadel
Safety: Extremely safe - I showed up late at night, and it's at the end of a poorly let alley and I had zero issues with safety.

staff here are truly so incredible and the property is in a great quiet area, it’s down a smaller road so cars can’t get down but it’s only a 30 second walk from the street so really no big deal. Super nice local area where we felt so welcome and was nice and close to the imperial citadel and lots of great restaurants and we felt really safe and at home in this area. staff were incredibly helpful for helping us book our next bus and also explain the ticket situation for the citadel!

Great location with lots of local restaurants nearby. Access to the imperial City is on the other side but it's only a few minutes away via taxi. Hoang Hien was very welcoming and great with kids.

We absolutely loved our four nights in this wonderful, boutique hotel, located down a quiet lane among the houses of Hue but in a top notch location right near the Citadel.
The rooms are spotless and spacious and have character and charm, unlike so many cookie cutter hotels these days.
The staff are exceptional, especially Vi and Nga, who attended to our every need and were especially kind when one of group was unwell. The small pool is spotless and makes part of a beautiful entrance to this very special place. It has been our favourite hotel in Vietnam .😍
