We canceled reservations to stay here. It is extremely convenient to get up at any hour of the day/night, have a kitchen at your disposal and not have to worry about waking anyone up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast in the morning was a perfect way to start the day. I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome first time hostel and it was clean and fun. I booked at another hostel after and it didn't compare to this one.

Pros: Great Location, Social Vibe, Unique ExperienceCons: Unexpected City TaxExcellent central Kyoto location. Walking distance to subways, buses, restaurants, and major sights.First time staying in a pod and really enjoyed it. The happy hour beer was a perfect way to meet travelers and decompress. Love the 10,000-steps larger glass bonus!Only downside was an unexpected check-in accommodation tax. Staff explained it was a city-mandated fee, but it was an unpleasant surprise. Otherwise, highly recommend this lodging!

Even as a Japanese traveler, I stay here every time I visit Kyoto!
Many international travelers stay here, and I really love the lively and vibrant atmosphere in the shared spaces. During the day, you can even see people using it as a shared workspace to get some work done.
The staff are all so friendly and their English is fantastic. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of convenience stores and great places to eat nearby, plus a large shopping arcade close by.
It’s a bit away from Kyoto Station, but I love it so much that I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kyoto.
