Intercityhotel Leiden

Location was a stone throw from Leiden central station which convenient if you are travelling to nearby places. About a 5-10 min walk to the city center. Room was a good size and comfortable. Shower pressure was great! And the bathroom size is good. Note that the bathroom has frosted windows and is see through, it can be covered with curtains (from the outside). The rooms felt modern, wasn’t dated. Elevators only accessible by room key so is secured. Room was brightly lit and there is a small free bottle of water on arrival. Staff were friendly though check in was very slow. A shout out to Nadia at the bar would was very friendly and warm and helped me with some ice. The two downsides were that there was no fridge and no air cond. The climate control system is + or - 3 degrees but i didn’t feel it was working and the room can become a bit warm. The weather wasn’t too hot so I was fine but if you are staying during summer or winter, I would reconsider if the heat/cold bothers you. They also give you a voucher for a free small cup of coffee which was nice. It was good coffee too. Closest supermarket is the AH at the station (it’s a small one). If you want a full size there is also a jumbo near the station about a five minute walk from hotel. I would stay here again if it is not during summer or winter. It was a comfortable stay. Would love to see the hotel install a fridge for staying guests in the future, there is room for it in the cupboard.

We travelled to Amsterdam and chose this hotel because it's a short train ride to the city, and more affordable and quaint. The location was very convenient - a three minute walk from Leiden Central station. While the room was ready when we arrived, we were charged $10 euros/hour to access it early. I feel like this was a simple money grab, but we were happy to drop our bags off and explore the city! Our room was incredibly clean and spacious. While we didn't need the room cleaned while there, the team was great at making sure we had our coffee replenished. We were happy to see a windmill, immediately outside of our window. We were short walks to coffee shops, restaurants and a grocery store for supplies - although there was no fridge in the room (staff graciously gave us a jug of ice each night, either for drinks in the room, or to keep food chilled). I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Leiden or Amsterdam!!! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We did not eat breakfast on site.

Excellent location, near the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy walk to restaurants & shopping.

Very close to the train station, so convenient, but when inside the hotel and in the room it was surprisingly quiet. Did not do the hotel breakfast but went to local cafes etc instead. One minor gripe was that the hotel room did not have a refrigerator to cool down bought sodas etc. All in all a good stay, and a good location with helpful pleasant staff.
