We loved our three night stay at Hotel Alegria. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, directly across the street from a small picturesque and quiet park. Our room was very nice, perhaps not the biggest but comfortable, with a small balcony overlooking the park, the bed was very comfortable, and the AC was strong even though we arrived in the midst of a major heat wave across Europe. The location is very convenient. There are many excellent restaurants and shopping opportunities within an easy 10 minute walking distance, including Rossio square. We even found it walkable down to Praca do Comercia at the riverfront. However, if you're not up for walking, the subway station is only a 4-5 minute walk.

The hotel is in an ideal location it is in a beautiful neighborhood and close to all sightseeing and amenities. The restaurant is excellent and our waiter at night was exceptional.
