Great communications ahead of our stay, and every member of staff was friendly and helpful. I really cannot compliment them highly enough. We were even shown into the breakfast room early on our last day and were able to take a packed breakfast for our journey.
The breakfast was varied, and the restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The service and food were always excellent.
The setting is perfect, right on the lake.
The parking was handy but we didn't need our car during our stay - it's only a short walk to the pier, where you can catch the ferry a few times a day. Varenna is only 5 minutes away by train and has even more ferry options.
Our room (number 2) was maybe a little small but we only used it as a base for few days, so that wasn't an issue. However the walls are very thin, so I hope your neighbours are quieter than ours.
We would have no hesitation in staying here again in the future (but in a different room).
Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.
