If you're looking for somewhere quiet just out of Ubud, among the rice fields, I highly recommend this Villa. Staff very obliging, rooms are excellent and food seriously good. We also did the cooking class, a great experience. Only negative was the pool was a little too cold for us.

I had the most wonderful stay at Pesantian in January with Santika, his wife and wonderful staff....if you’re looking for something peaceful and tranquil out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud then this is it! It’s in the middle of the rice fields, beautiful sunsets, and complete darkness and quiet at night. They have a small pool and restaurant on site that has great Balinese food! I loved everything I ate and the fresh juices and tea were the best. And then for a small fee Santika will drive you to all the sites you want to see, it’s about a 20 min ride to Ubud city where he dropped me off and I spent the day exploring. he also took me to a the Bali swing, a temple, etc. I was a solo traveler and he drove me on his motor bike everywhere, which was such a fun authentic experience! Him and his wife were so friendly and accommodating it’s an amazing place to completely disconnect and relax. If you’re looking for more activities and things to do on site this isn’t the place for you but if you want a place to unwind and relax and live more like a local, in nice accommodations this is for you!
