Khalkedon Hotel Istanbul

This hotel is all about the location. It is in the center of Kadikoy, with countless restaurants, bars, and cafes within a few minutes walk. Somehow, despite all the life right outside the building, the rooms were very quiet. It is just a few minutes walk to the metro, multiple ferries, a massive bus station, and the havaist-14 bus that goes directly to / from the IST airport. The entry way / lobby is unimpressive and gives a backpacker hotel / hostel vibe. However, the actual rooms are spotless and relatively spacious, albeit simple. The breakfast buffet is more than sufficient. Compared to other places where we stayed, it was a bit simpler, but there are numerous options with some variation from day to day. Staff are helpful and friendly in a laid-back sort of way.

Good location in this part of Istanbul

Overall great experience. The staff were very helpful! The breakfast buffet was perfect to start the day. Would definitely recommend this place to other travelers.

Excellent experience with this hotel for 3 days of shopping in Kadikoy at the end of our month in Türkiye. We had a lovely large room on the 3rd floor. Water and tea were provided in the room daily and a fantastic breakfast in their 4th floor terrace/lounge. Nice sunset view from their rooftop deck and hear the call to prayer & a sunny spot for morning coffee with seagulls overhead. This is an older building with no elevator, but the helpful staff brought our suitcases up and down on arrival & departure. Staff also helped with restaurant and shopping suggestions. Very well located in a pedestrian friendly area, with shops, cafes, restaurants in every direction and only a 5 minute walk to the Kadikoy metro and ferry. Will stay here again next time we come through Istanbul.
