This is a great classic London hostel, especially if location is your priority. It is very close to Borough Market, great food, the waterfront, bridges, and plenty of transportation. Check-in is at the pub, which gives it a fun old-school hostel feel. I was nervous because I had not stayed in a hostel in years, but I had a great experience. The room was a classic shared bunk setup, and I appreciated being assigned a specific bunk. The lockers were large enough for a suitcase, and you can buy a lock on site. The mattress was thin but surprisingly comfortable, and I slept very well. The metal bed frames do squeak when people move, so expect a true hostel experience. There are no privacy curtains, but each bunk has its own outlet. The staff were welcoming, and the hostel felt safe. The main downside is the shared bathroom area. The showers were clean, private, had great water pressure, and plenty of hot water, but the bathroom floors could use more frequent cleaning, and the space gets humid due to limited ventilation. It can be noisy if the window is open at night, so I recommend closing it while sleeping and opening it during the day for air. Overall, this was a safe, welcoming hostel with an unbeatable location. I would stay here again.

Obviously, you get what you pay for: it's not a room to yourself with a lot of space. It's just one single bed with access to shared facilities. However, I do think it is absolutely fair for the price, location and convenience. It is integrated within a pub, therefore very convenient for drinks and food. Good service.
