8 / 10Excellent·juill. 2026
It wasn't clear to me upon booking that there are two separate buildings. The one where I stayed is a lovely old house, and very comfortable. However, the noise from traffic on the busy street made sleeping in past 6 am a challenge. The breakfast is a short walk up the hill to the main hotel property. Breakfast was wonderul.

We enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts during the week were made to order and very good. Our room in the lower building was nice and light though a little noisy being on the Main Street. Overall, a really pleasant stay.

Always enjoy staying at the Swift House Inn. The rooms are all well appointed and the incredible breakfast at Jessica’s is such a lovely bonus. You won’t be disappointed when choosing the Swift House in Middlebury… beats every other accommodation by a mile!
